San Pedro: Block by Block

Niko’s Pizzeria is located in the heart of downtown, on the corner of 6th and Mesa. While the owners are both Greek, Niko’s is an Italian restaurant serving pastas, salads, sandwiches and pizza. The restaurant opened a couple of years ago in the original Sacred Grounds location. The space had been vacant so long that even the early notices taped to the windows created a buzz downtown. Nowadays Niko’s is an established downtown eatery. I hopped on over for a bite after I hit the Dia De Los Muertos celebration on Saturday.
